Fred Robinson was first Robinson to set up the tailors shop in the village. Fred lost his life in WW1 and the business was then taken over by his younger brother Teddy (Edward Arthur) Robinson. Teddy and his wife Maude went on to have 3 children; Jack, Vic and Peggy.
In due course, the tailors shop became known as Robinsons Cottage. The Robinson family have a long tradition of serving as Clerk to the Parish Council with Fred, Teddy, Jack and Vic all holding the post for a combined period of over 80 years.
