Parish Hall

The original Parish Hall was built in 1902 to the design of architect Rev. Ernest Geldart (1848-1929), who was a leading church architect of the day.

The Parish Hall was opened on 25th November 1902. Under the terms of the original trust, the Hall was solely under the control of the Rector (Canon William Mills). It was later changed to be run by the Churchwardens and Parochial Church Council.

Up until the 1950’s the hall was used for plays and dramatic productions.

On 16th January 1963 the Hall was severely damaged by fire and had to be rebuilt.
